Sharing the Aviation Love

Guardian Jet Center Welcomes Students from Mt. Sac’s Aviation Department

Recently, we welcomed students from Mt. San Antonio College’s Aviation Department to Guardian Jet Center. Guardian Jet Center Manager, Dan LeBouf, spoke about the jet center, job opportunities, the expenses of owning a plane, and his personal career.

“The students were very intrigued with the planes. They wanted to know everything; it really showed how passionate they were about going into aviation.” Said Dan LeBouf.

Twice a year a different group of student’s from Mt. SACs Aviation Department are invited to tour both Ontario Airport and Guardian Jet Center. They learn about the different job opportunities the companies offer.

Guardian Jet Center has a long history of sharing the aviation love. Students from Mt. SAC’s aviation department have been welcomed to tour Guardian Jet Center and learn from our expert staff for years. The jet center has also welcomed students from the University of La Verne and plans to invite some boy and girl scout troops.

LeBouf added, “We think it’s important to build awareness in the community and share the different types of job opportunities.”

Construction on West Ramp

Guardian West Ramp Back in Operation

Guardian Jet Center has received approval to put the Guardian West ramp back in operation.

Construction at Guardian West continues on the new hanger and offices, but the strengthening of the Guardian West ramp is finished. General Manager Dan LeBouf said, "Reinforcing the ramp means that we will be able to accommodate heavier aircrafts. This added flexibility supports the enthusiasm and growth in the Inland Empire.”

During construction Guardian East was opened. The facility allowed Guardian Jet Center to maintain operations during construction on the ramp and provide as smooth a transition as possible. Guardian Jet Center's high quality service went uninterrupted. Guardian East will now operate for overflow only parking.

Now that the Guardian West ramp is back in operation Lebouf said, "Things are back to normal."

Customers can expect the same high level of service as always and can look forward to the new hangar and offices. Construction will be completed in December.

The Top 3 Reasons to Fly to ONT Instead of LAX or SNA

In the Guardian Jet Center lobby we often hear travellers and pilots share an idea that we’ve always known to be true: It is so much nicer to fly from (or to) here instead of LAX or SNA.

  • Ontario International Airport (ONT) is a public airport about 40 miles east of Downtown Los Angeles in Ontario, California.
  • Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) is the largest international airport in California. It is located 18 miles southwest of Downtown Los Angeles.
  • John Wayne Airport (SNA), located in Santa Ana, is 40 miles south of Downtown Los Angeles.

But, why is it so much nicer to fly to/from ONT? Because it’s Quicker, Better, and Faster.

Time Is On Our Side

You can save 2+ hours flying into ONT versus LAX or SNA.

If you live in Southern California you know that everything said about bad traffic is true, particularly in Los Angeles and Orange County. The good news is, the traffic is considerably better 40 miles away here in Ontario. When comparing the traffic around LAX or SNA to the traffic around ONT… there’s no question. The traffic is always – ALWAYS – worse near LAX and SNA.

The traffic is often bad enough that even if you are in, or going to, Los Angeles – if that place is downtown or anywhere east of downtown you can get there faster by flying into ONT rather than LAX.

Simply The Best

You can say that claiming something is better, or the best, is subjective. But, we have reasons to say ONT is the best airport to fly to/from in the area.

24 Hours a Day 7 Days a Week - Unlike other Southern California Airports, ONT has NO noise restrictions. That means that you can arrive at or depart from ONT at any time, 24 hours a day.

Location, Location, Location - Ontario is 40 miles from Downtown LA, 35 miles from Disneyland, 40 miles from mountain resorts; we’re right in the middle of everything, making our spot in Southern California very convenient.

Customer Service - The Guardian Jet Center offers ample state of the art facilities and a professionally trained staff. Our top priority is great customer service.

Guardian East Opened July 1 at Guardian Jet Center

Guardian Jet Center is undergoing construction to add a new hanger and to reinforce ramps. Guardian Jet Center remains dedicated to customer service. In order to maintain that high level of service during construction Guardian East will open to accept transient aircrafts – for day trips, over-night and short duration stays.

"We want to make the transition as seamless as possible so that we can continue to provide the best experience to all our customers, transient and base tenants." said General Manager Dan LeBouf.

Construction will last for up to 90 days. After completion, service will resume out of the main facility, but Guardian East won't be abandoned. When asked about the future Dan LeBouf said, "At the new facility there is so much ramp space that it's a great opportunity to expand."

The new facility opened July 1. Customers can expect the same high level of service as always and can look forward to the expansion of Guardian Jet Center.
